CPCI8220

Suitable for media gateway and VoIP line card applications, the ComStruct™ CPCI-8220 packet voice processing blade has an extensive range of off-board I/O capability via the CompactPCI® backplane and its associated rear transition module (RTM). These include in-shelf or external Gigabit Ethernet ports, triple DS3 line termination, plus full H.110 implementation for additional voice traffic. There are two configurations allowing 2016 full VoIP channels for either G.711 or G.729AB compression, where each voice channel includes 128 ms tail length echo cancellation, voice activity detection, and comfort noise generation.

Local configuration and management are executed on an embedded PowerPC® processor running alongside an embedded network processor, which provides interworking functionality between the internal and external network connections. The CPCI-8220 works as a blade for ease of operation. It is supplied with FACT-SERVER software embedded on the local control processor. FACT-SERVER software is a low-overhead, text-based IP call control protocol designed to help reduce your development time as it only requires user control and
